Motoka Watanabe
This is the first solo exhibition in three years by Motoka Watanabe, a.k.a. WA!moto, who creates public art with animal motifs in Japan and abroad. The venue is the former Mitsui Bussan Building, Japan's first full-scale reinforced concrete structure built in 1911.

This exhibition is an opportunity to experience WA!moto's vision of public art, human scale, and happiness in this symbol of Japan's modernization.

During the exhibition period, there will be a workshop in which children will direct the large sculptures of WA!moto. to move around the city in conjunction with the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2022, a reading performance, and other events.
