Sakai Alphonse Mucha Museum (Sakai City Cultural Hall)
Finished

Artists

Alfons Mucha
Alphonse Mucha, who began his career as a book illustrator, has worked on hundreds of books during his lifetime and has colored many stories in children's books, serialized newspaper novels, and beautifully decorated books. In theatrical posters, murals, and oil paintings, he has also attempted to depict scenes from history and fiction. Mucha's realistic depictions of people and dramatic compositions of his characters are full of life and capture the imagination of readers and viewers alike.

This exhibition focuses on the narrative world depicted by Mucha. Seven themes will be introduced, tracing the fate of the princesses and the story world Mucha depicted. The exhibition will also include the secret stories behind the creation of each work, allowing visitors to enjoy the world of Mucha's stories.
