The word “timidity" in the title of this exhibition is based on the female mentality of underestimating one's own physicality, as pointed out by Iris Marion Young in her “Throwing Like a Girl" and other works. This exhibition is rethinking "gender, body, and architecture," a topic discussed almost 20 years ago, from the perspective of today's words and gaze.
