This is one of the works selected for the first public exhibition of the year 2021 at Epsite Gallery.
The work “Matters" is a photographic portrait of the artist Naoko Hiraoka's daily life, along with her own emotions at the time. Because they can disappear in an instant, Hiraoka cherishes each and every event in front of her eyes and closes them in her photographs as if she were caring for them. Each photograph captured is richer than words and speaks to the viewer.
Hiraoka says that she has realized many important things by cherishing her senses and continuing to take photographs every day. Her work is an important reminder that everyone is living in an irreplaceable moment.
