Poppetryー Pots and People

Kuma Gallery
Finished

Artists

Shinobu Soejima, Moyan, Shuntaro Yoshino
This exhibition focuses on the motif of "dolls," which have been a part of human activities throughout the times, and introduces three artists who share a common theme despite using different media. While always used as a substitute for humans, the doll is a being that has both superficiality and hollowness, which can be likened to a pot. The three artists have named this exhibition "Poppetry," a play on the words "puppetry" and "pottery," to describe the motifs they address.
