Shinji Wakasa, Shingo Okazaki
Sound artist Shinji Wakasa and artist Shingo Okazaki will hold a joint exhibition. In the first half of the exhibition, both artists will give a live performance and actually collaborate with each other at the venue. The second half of the exhibition will be a video installation.
The two artists have been friends for several years, and have long wished to collaborate on something, and fortunately, the gallery took over this project. From the beginning of the project, it was planned to be a work that combined painting and sound, however, not an installation simply inserting sound into the exhibition space. Therefore, Wakasa attempted to improvise sound while witnessing Okazaki's paintings. Throughout the exhibition hall, there will be countless speakers installed to play five songs of their collaboration.
Visitors are invited to reassemble the deconstructed sound sources in their imagination while experiencing the works.
