Tenki Hiramatsu
Born in 1986 in Wakayama, Japan, Tenki Hiramatsu graduated from Nihon University Faculty of Art in 2009. Today, Hiramatsu works out of his studio in Karlsruhe, Germany, where he has been based since completing his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, Karlsruhe.
Hiramatsu’s work is rich with intuition - signature figures materialize from the depths of abstract backgrounds and brushstrokes. "Where There is Smoke, There is No Fire" will showcase more than a dozen paintings, painted on both canvas and paper over the period of about a year.
Having exhibited extensively overseas in both solo and group shows, this exhibition marks Hiramatsu’s first major exhibition in Japan since 2013.
