The Masakichi Hirano Collection: Travel and Paintings

Akita Museum of Art
Finished

Artists

Chu Asai, Salvador Dalí, Tsuguharu Fujita et al.
The word "travel" means to leave one's familiar surroundings and visit other places. Traveling painters were interested in the scenery they saw and the people they met in the places they visited. The works created as a result of their travels are filled with the surprise and joy of seeing new things. This exhibition features works from the Masakichi Hirano Collection that are related to travel. Please enjoy the scenes of travel through the eyes of these artists.
