Satoshi Kako
Satoshi Kako was born in Takefu City (now Echizen City), Fukui Prefecture in 1926, and after graduating from the University of Tokyo, Kako worked at a research institute while participating in a group of children's storytelling and storytelling activities. His picture books, which he continued to produce until his death in 2018 at the age of 92, are still loved today for their depiction of children from his own perspective. This exhibition introduces the process of creating his popular series with original drawings, original sketches, and reproductions of his photographs.
