Tomoko Igarashi "Sphere"

Artists

Tomoko Igarashi
This exhibition features about 10 colorful paintings of people dancing and rolling around with spheres, rendered in “iwae” (mineral pigments) and “suiboshi” (water paints), which are materials used in Japanese painting. The shape of a sphere seems to be something special, sometimes light and sometimes heavy, rolling freely from place to place and reminding us of a planet.
