Torajiro Kojima
Torajiro Kojima, born in Shimohara Village, Kawakami-gun, Okayama Prefecture (now Naruha-cho, Takahashi City) in 1881, was a leading Impressionist painter in Japan and the son-in-law of Juji Ishii (born in Takanabe Town), who is called the father of child welfare. In this exhibition, Torajiro traveled to Europe at the beginning of the 20th century to study and collect artwork for the Ohara Museum of Art, and the 100 photographs he took of people and places in Europe and Egypt that he interacted with will be on display along with his most popular work, "Going to School," and other paintings.
