Clear Gallery Tokyo is pleased to announce Toshiyuki Kimura's solo exhibition, "Family Council".
This exhibition is the 23rd presentation within the "Matim" project, in which the artist is engaged since 2009, and where he presents works in different mediums like oil paintings, video works, books etc.
"Matim" comes from the English word "mate", but for Kimura it embodies a certain type of relationship - with family, society, activity, thoughts, exercise, the universe and other - with an uncertainty for its actual state. In this exhibition Kimura will present his new oil paintings from the perspective of an illustrator.
