On the walls of 7Chome, where soft but bright outside light enters through thin white curtain fabric, work in the shape of wooden frames is lined up. The transparent board on the surface is hollowed out in a circle, and the hollowed-out circle is slightly displaced at an angle. And the frame itself is cut at an angle, and the cut surface is displaced. Each frame has a misalignment somewhere.
For Tsuyoshi Hisakado, who questions the frameworks set by humans, the appeal of art lies in the challenge to deviate from the world within the frame, or to shift the frame. The work in this exhibition embodies Hisakado's attitude toward art.
