Artists

Vincent van Gogh
Perhaps no Western painter is more beloved by the Japanese than Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890). His many well-known works include "Sunflowers," "The Yellow House (Van Gogh's house in Arles, Place Lamartine)," "Bedroom in Arles," "Cedars," "Self-Portrait," and "Starry Moonlight Night." He is also widely known for his tumultuous life, including his admiration for Ukiyoe and Japan, his life together with Gauguin in the south of France, and his tragic end. Although his work was not appreciated during his lifetime, it attracted attention after his death and changed the history of painting.

This interactive digital art exhibition will allow visitors to relive the world as van Gogh saw it. Through images and music projected 360 degrees on the walls and floor of the venue, visitors will be able to trace the life of the passionate painter while recreating the world as he saw it.

Focusing on the artist's vibrant and powerful brush strokes, the images reproduce bold colors, sometimes shifting from warm to somber. The immersive exhibit evokes van Gogh's emotional, confused, and poetic inner world, highlighting light and shadow.

Venue: 1F Grand Gallery
