Artists

Yoichi Ochiai, Shinichi Wakasa
A two-person exhibition featuring media artist Yoichi Ochiai and Shinichi Wakasa is being organized by artist Shinichi Wakasa at Karimoku Commons Tokyo 1F Gallery. Aside from works from each artist's domain, there will also be new wood-based works on display.

Through this exhibition, it is aimed at showing how products are made by accumulating unseen things. This includes offcuts generated during the manufacturing process of the furniture of which Karimoku Furniture is a product. Moreover, it conveys the thoughts and feelings of the employees and craftspeople who worked on them. Assuming that there is a connection with the values born from the Japanese animism that was born between forests and people, this show focuses on the "invisible things" between forests and people as the center of the exhibition concept.
