The exhibition “Sand Room (Voiceless Ovation)” will be held in a movie theater that was closed about 30 years ago. “Sand Room” is an art project by Yuki Ideo that began in 2016 when the artist started living in a 4.5-tatami-sized room in Shibuya with 200 kilograms of sand. In 2019, Ideo held an exhibition with one ton of sand in Shibuya.

In this exhibition, sand will be installed in a venue known as the "Former Movie Theater", a space created by renovating the Nippori Kinmikan, which closed in 1991. Sand flows through the space with tools created for this exhibition. In addition to the installation, models, notebooks, and reference books used in the creation of this work will also be on display.
