A solo exhibition by Yumi Nishimura is being presented in Tokyo for the first time in over six years by Harmas Gallery. The central elements in Yumi Nishimura's works are characters from folktales and other stories. Nishimura creates paintings by imagining the emotions, movements, and voices of the characters in folktales that are neglected or not depicted in order to advance the story.
