Yuzuho Matsuoka
This solo exhibition by up-and-coming young artist Yuzuho Matsuoka is produced by Watowa Gallery, an art project production group.
Matsuoka, born in 1996 in Hyogo Prefecture, graduated from Kyoto University of Art and Design (now Kyoto University of the Arts) in 2021. She is a young artist who has been attracting attention since she was a student, winning the Shell Art Award (now Idemitsu Art Award). Her colorful, textile-like work, painted by hand with an obsession for canvas, is a visual anomaly. This exhibition will display and sell approximately 20 works, including her signature “Outline" series as well as previously unreleased series.
