Since ancient times, Japanese people have believed in the existence of demons. They appear in myths, legends, performing arts, novels, manga, anime, and video games. This exhibition introduces works related to demons from the popular "Hyakumonogatari" (One Hundred Tales) and other printed books and explores how the genius Hokusai perceived and portrayed demons in his works.
