The Unknown Side of Kosode

Chiso Gallery
Finished
Kosode is decorated with attractive colors and patterns. There are even patterns on the inside of the garment. From the mid-Edo period onward, the patterns that had been shown on the entire kosode gradually decreased and moved down to the hem, and then to the back of the kosode.
