The beloved picture book series "Little Mouse's Red Vest" (published by Poplar Publishing in 1974) has surpassed a cumulative total of 4.9 million copies and continues to be popular with 40 volumes currently. It was created through the collaborative efforts of the author, Yoshio Nakae, and the illustrator, Noriko Ueno, as a husband-and-wife team.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of this masterpiece, a special exhibition will be held, showcasing all the works in the series, including the latest release "Little Mouse's Gift," which will be available from May 10, 2024 (excluding some regions). Approximately 200 items, including original paintings and sketches, will be on display.
