In spring, when trees bud and colorful flowers bloom abundantly, the gallery will hold an exhibition showcasing exquisite flowers, fitting the vibrant season bathed in bright sunlight.

Throughout the seasons, blooming flowers have enchanted the hearts of Japanese people since ancient times, becoming beloved symbols. For artists, flowers have always been captivating motifs, inspiring numerous masterpieces that showcase their individuality.

Togyu Okumura's "Daigo" depicts the renowned "Taiko Shakunage" cherry blossom tree at Daigo-ji Temple in Kyoto, believed to be around 170 years old. Layering paint to create soft hues, the painting evokes the warm spring atmosphere. Heihachiro Fukuda's "Peony" utilizes reverse coloring techniques, delicately portraying the peony's form with an enchanting allure. Chokunyu Tanomura's "Hyakka" is a scroll painting that allows one to savor the flowers of the seasons, meticulously depicting 100 varieties of seasonal flowers like a botanical illustration.

Furthermore, this exhibition, alongside traditional Japanese paintings, will also introduce works from Western painting, such as Ryuzaburo Umehara's "Roses and Oranges" and Kazumasa Nakagawa's "Roses." By incorporating both Japanese and Western painting styles, the aim is to offer a diverse range of floral expressions to enjoy the magnificent world of flowers even more.
