Following the "ACG Eyes" exhibition series, which introduces young, up-and-coming artists, "ACG Reflections" focuses on the expressions of artists with rich careers and reexamines their appeal and relationship to the historical background.

The first exhibition will feature works by three painters, Yasue Kodama (1961- ), Hitoshi Nakazato (1936-2010), and Yutaka Hatta (1930- ). Kodama's early work, the "natura morta" series, characterized by the movement of brush strokes, Nakazato's expression including the transition from lines to colored surfaces in the 1970s, and Hatta's line engraving paintings in the 1960s and work on Japanese rice paper in the 2000s, each reflects their own thoughts and historical background in their paintings while achieving a unique pictorial expression. This exhibition explores the meaning of the seemingly simple act of drawing a line on a canvas and how the image of the line has affected the pictorial space for these three artists, all of whom take the medium of painting seriously.
