The APA Awards has been held since 1961 and has produced numerous photographers. In the advertising segment entries are judged and selected from advertisement photos circulated around the world, while the photography segment is a competition of free ideas and photographic expressions following the theme.

This year, 213 works were submitted for the advertising segment, and 62 works were selected for the Honorable Mention Awards. The top two entries will be displayed on posters, and the other winning entries will be shown on monitors. The theme of the photography segment is "My Photograph." There were 1,065 submissions with 2,417 photos from all over Japan, and 123 photos were selected as Honorable Mention Award winners. All the winning entries will be on display.
