Bambinart Gallery is pleased to announce the solo exhibition of Ai Mieda, “This is a material used in “Fu-Go”. / I eat konnyaku, which is one of the materials.” In this exhibition, she will present works created using cyanotype on konjac-pulped Japanese paper. Mino’s washi is strong and has the characteristic of becoming whiter under ultraviolet light because it was traditionally made for shoji paper.
After about a year and a half since the last solo exhibition by Ai Mieda, “The story of the Abelmoschus manihot (L.) field.” (November 2023), we are pleased to unveil new works by the artist.
