Artists

Ai Sano
Ai Sano creates sculptures of dragons, fantastic beasts, and animals using marble. Sano's fascination with stones began in childhood, gathering them from riverbanks. Marble was chosen for its enduring texture, which suits Sano's imaginative motifs. Influenced by Sano's mother's knowledge of ancient orient animal designs and Sano's childhood fascination with Japanese lizards, Sano daily sketched reptiles and fantastic beasts, now using them as special motifs in the artworks. Sano translates various emotions delicately perceived in reality into plump and fantastic works of art.
