mh PROJECT is part of the partnership program of the Aichi 2025 International Art Festival. It presents a series of art performances that combine various expressive forms—such as dance, sound, and video—engaging deeply with “the body” and “space,” and inviting audiences to share in the experience of the moment.

For its final exhibition and performance of 2025, the program will feature “Asagao — Morning Glory” by artist Aine Nakamura, who explores “weaving poems (songs) within the body and shaping untold stories,” as part of a project that seeks to provide new ways of seeing and thinking about our increasingly complex world through art.

Currently a doctoral candidate in composition at the University of California, Berkeley, Nakamura works across music theory, composition, and body-based expression. Through the act of “listening,” she explores local histories and memories, stories of labor and family, and creates performances and installations centered on themes of intergenerational care, conflict, understanding, and renewal.
