Akiko Endo
Akiko Endo (1947-), professor emeritus at Musashino Art University and an active member of the Nikikai, an art group, has been creating works on the theme of "human existence" and "the sense of being alive. He was awarded the Medal with Purple Ribbon in 2014 and the Mainichi Art Award in 2023, and his further activities are expected in the future.

This exhibition will feature representative oil paintings by Endo, including her early "Paradise" series, the "City" series that led to her breakthrough as an artist, and the "Large Works" series, including a piece over 7 meters in length, as well as her latest work on the theme of Yamagata. In addition, approximately 80 works, including three-dimensional works and illustrations for serialized newspaper novels, will be presented for the first time.

3. Talk by the Curator in Charge of the Exhibition

4. [Night Museum] Aruji Kuroki and the Museum at Night
Date & Time: July 29 (Sat) 18:00 Gather in front of the museum, 18:30 Start
Fee: 1,000 yen per person
Navigator: Aruji Kuroki (ghost story writer)
(First 20 people to register, junior high school students and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.)
