Akio Minamitani + Kyoichi Kita "Nanboku-ten"

Artists

Akio Minamitani, Kyoichi Kita
The exhibition features works by multi-performing artist Kyoichi Kita, active since the 1970s, and painter Akio Minamitani, who garnered attention in the 1980s but remained silent for about 40 years.

Last November, the website "ArtFact_world" was launched, showcasing many of their works. This time, however, marks their first real-life exhibition. The exhibition's name, "nanboku (south/north)," derives from the names of the two artists. Each artist has developed a unique artistic practice across various fields, but they share a strong and free-spirited approach to "painting." Their works emerge from their paintings, endlessly pouring forth and making one forget to pause.

From July 18 to July 21, there will be painting performances starting at 7:00 PM, transforming the gallery into a real art factory where visitors can feel the breath of the artists' souls.
