This exhibition introduces the history and reception of Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland" in Japan and presents new and old works by 16 contemporary artists working with doll motifs.
The 16 artists, express their interpretation of Alice and work with a variety of materials, including ceramics (bisque dolls), paper (papier-mache), cloth (plush toys), and stoneware (spherical jointed dolls).
