Amanatsu Aono
Amanatsu Aono is largely self-taught and employs traditional Japanese painting techniques to depict modern yet retro-styled, refreshing, and dignified women with supple and delicate lines. While adeptly utilizing traditional techniques, her expression methods and motifs incorporate a contemporary playfulness, and her compositions exude a design-oriented beauty.
This exhibition explores the theme of the strength of women who harbor dreams and aspirations within. It portrays the buoyant strength found in discovering one's dreams and aspirations, the earnest strength in striving towards those dreams and aspirations, and the captivating allure of women who shine even brighter because of that strength. The artist approaches these themes with the same dedication she applies to portraying her dreams in her artwork.
