The works of art in Tagging (your mine!) introduce a new series of paintings of drones. After reading the titles of the paintings, a host of possible narratives opens up. Are the backgrounds the “tag (graffiti)”? Are the drones tagging or are they reporting? Are they cleaning graffiti? Zielinski’s paintings imply that it’s the viewer who is losing control of what the drone is capable of. Therefore, the intention of the artist, like that of the pilot of the drone, is unknown.
