Takashi Shibata
The Anjo City Young Artists Support Program, now in its third year, will present an exhibition of works by Anjo resident Takashi Shibata. After completing a master's degree at Osaka University of Arts, Shibata continued his artistic activities while working as an assistant in the university's art department. During this time, his work "Blowing in the Wind" was selected for the 40th Nitten exhibition.

He has since exhibited works in a variety of genres, including figurative arts, acrylic paintings, illustrations, and picture books, while focusing mainly on Japanese-style paintings, and has been selected for the 1st Creative City Hamamatsu Open Call Exhibition, the 44th Nisshun Exhibition, the 21st All Japan Art Salon Grand Prize Exhibition, etc. In 2021, he was selected for the 78th Yasumi Exhibition, an art exhibition held in the form of a public call for artwork. At the 78th Anbi Exhibition, a public art exhibition held in 2021, "Moon Boat" won the Anjo Mayor's Prize in the Japanese Painting Division. Currently, Shibata works at an elementary school in the city while continuing to create artwork.

This exhibition showcases Shibata's free and fantastic works, which are expressed in various forms such as picture books and plastic arts, as well as Japanese-style paintings.
