"Artists in FAS" is an artist-in-residence program organized by Fujisawa Art Space (hereinafter referred to as "FAS") to provide artists involved in a variety of creative activities with a place to create and an opportunity to present their work.
This year's program, the eighth in the series, received 74 applications from Japan and abroad, and an external jury (Kohei Kobayashi [artist] and Kenjiro Hosaka [director of the Museum of Art, Shiga Prefecture]) selected four artists working in the fields of video, photography, textiles, and media art.
The selected artists are currently researching the neighborhood and staying at FAS's residence room since July to create their works before the exhibition starting in October.
