This exhibition introduces jewelry and other decorative items under the theme of attire. The Itami City Museum of Art, History and Culture has held the "Itami International Crafts Exhibition" 23 times, displaying many advanced works from Japan and abroad. This exhibition introduces the works of 11 award-winning artists.

This exhibition features contemporary jewelry from all over the world. In Japan, jewelry still has a strong image as precious metals, but contemporary jewelry is created based on the artist's concept using a variety of materials and has been attracting worldwide attention in recent years as art that can be worn. Contemporary jewelry, however, has been gaining attention around the world in recent years as wearable art, created based on the artist's concept using a variety of materials. Themes of the body, nature, and social environment strongly reflect the artist's ideas, and the wearer can become a part of the work when wearing the jewelry. The word "wear" can of course mean to dress up fashionably, but it can also be used to describe how one wants to present oneself to others, for example, "to dress oneself up" or "to look calm." Contemporary jewelry is a means of expression not only for the artist but also for the wearer.

In addition, the textile and clothing artist unit fujii+fushikino will be exhibiting their clothing works. The colorfully dyed clothes will decorate the venue. Please enjoy the rich colors swaying in the spring breeze.

Most of the exhibited works are available for purchase.
