Hilma af Klint
At the beginning of the 20th century, there was a painter who established a one-of-a-kind vision and was painting abstract paintings in her own unique way before Kandinsky and Mondrian.
Born in Sweden in 1862, Hilma af Klint studied art at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts, and after graduating, she became a professional painter, which was unusual for a woman at that time, and painted traditional paintings with great success.

Meanwhile, she had been interested in the spiritual world and theosophy since her impressionable youth, which was strengthened by the death of her sister. Her commitment to mysticism led her to pursue her path of expression, which became even more luminous through her activities with De Fem (Five), a group of artists she formed with four other women artists of the same ideology, and through her encounter with Rudolf Steiner. However, while her contemporaries were creating new works of art and exhibiting them widely, she never published any of her innovative work. She then left this world, telling the world not to publish them for 20 years after her death.
