The “CAF Award” is intended for works by students of high schools, universities, graduate schools, and vocational schools all over Japan, as well as students who have Japanese nationality and are enrolled in overseas educational institutions. It is one of the largest art awards in Japan aimed at promoting contemporary art. One winner will receive a cash prize of 1 million yen, and an additional prize will be an opportunity to hold a solo exhibition. In addition, one winner will receive a cash prize of 500,000 yen, and four judges will receive 300,000 yen each.

Continuing from last year, the judges are Teiya Iwabuchi (general editor of Bijutsu Techo), Kodama Kanazawa (curator of contemporary art), Kohei Nawa (sculptor), and Kenjiro Hosaka (director and director of the Shiga Prefectural Museum of Art). The selected works exhibition will be held at Daikanyama Hillside Forum from November 29th to 6th.
