Artists

Chie Matsui
Chie Matsui, known since the 1980s for narrative installations showcased globally, including at the Venice Biennale and MoMA, creates artworks as "containers of allegory." Through installations, video, photography, and painting, Matsui invites viewers to explore stories within Matsui's art for nearly 40 years.

In Matsui's 2014 solo exhibition "A Story— Pointy Mountain" at Nomart, the artist collaborated on silkscreen works and three-dimensional pieces, creating an immersive narrative space. Returning to Nomart after a decade, this exhibition explores the theme of "mirror," featuring numerous monotype works and accompanying prose. Matsui will also participate in the "Mirror" event on the last day of the exhibition, presenting her works in audio form.
