Artists

Chihiro Fujii
It has been Fujii's dismay at social absurdities, including child abuse, poverty, and discrimination, that has fueled the artist's expression for decades. In recent years, however, Fujii has been able to approach the paintings with a calm spirituality that helps calm the artist's anger. In addition, Fujii has begun using hands and feet to make large strokes at the climax of the works in the belief that when left to physicality rather than thoughts, the deepest regions of the psyche come forth.
