Chiho Aono
Chiho Aono is an artist who uses ceramics as a material to express the form of an organic substance that has become a viscous fluid and is eroding its support. By matting the surfaces of her works with patterns of mesh, flora, and fauna, the ceramics acquire a cloth-like texture, free from hardness and heaviness, and filled with a mysterious presence that is anything but.
This exhibition features more than 20 works from 2003 to 2011 before Aono moved to Austria.
