Every three years, the White Wall Project will commission a new work from an up-and-coming artist for the wall, as well as a solo exhibition of the artist in the adjacent gallery, Modern & Contemporary Art Room B. The commemorative First White Wall Project will feature Fukuoka-based painter Chisato Tanaka, and the work will be exhibited for three years.
