A two-person exhibition featuring collage works by Robert Kushner, a notable artist of the Pattern & Decoration movement, and John Gaul, a renowned book designer. The collages, derived from the French word "coller" meaning "to glue" or "stick together," involve cutting and pasting elements from various sources onto a support base. Kushner utilizes encyclopedia illustrations, postcards, stamps, and more, while Gaul creates colorful and minimal compositions with magazine cutouts and reconstructed family photographs. These collages offer a space where past, present, and future coexist, presenting viewers with layered fragments of time and memory, evoking new narratives and visual imagery.
