Collection Exhibition Grand Display!

Kurashiki City Art Museum
Finished
The Kurashiki City Art Museum is hosting an exhibition featuring approximately 200 artworks, the largest number since its opening, as part of its collection exhibition. The museum's collection comprises over ten thousand items, including sketches and related materials from local artists. The collection of materials from the Japanese painter Haruson Ikeda, who has ties to Kurashiki, exceeds eight thousand items.

Additionally, the museum houses watercolor paintings by Kazuhei Hori, a pioneer of the Okayama Western-style painting world, and Meiji-era textbooks created by Yoshihiko Maeda. Craft items such as tea bowls and incense containers, as well as unique three-dimensional works by artists like Mieko Shiomi and Takehiro Terada, are also part of the collection.

The exhibition aims to showcase a variety of artworks, including rare and valuable materials rarely displayed to the public, allowing visitors to discover their favorite piece, their "recommended work," from the abundant collection.
