In conjunction with the 76th Wakayama Prefectural Art Exhibition and the 8th Wakayama Junior Art Exhibition, the museum will introduce art from the modern to the contemporary period by selecting about 40 works from the museum collection, mainly by artists associated with Wakayama Prefecture.

The exhibition features sculptures by Wakayama Prefecture-related artists such as Ryumon Yasuda and his son, Haruhiko, Taimu Tatehata and his son, Kakuzo, and paintings by Kigai Kawaguchi, Eitaro Ishigaki, Katsushiro Hara, Teiji Takai, Masanari Murai, and contemporary sculptures by George Segal, Giacomo Manzù, Louise Nevelson, Anthony Caro, and many more. The exhibition will be held at the Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo.
