Daichiro Shinjo
Daichiro Shinjo, who has been practicing calligraphy since childhood, has been presenting work since 2017. While respecting tradition and history, Shinjo is an artist who repeatedly asks himself questions about the universality of the world and creates work that uses words and letters but is not bound by the framework of calligraphy.

At Haku, Shinjo will present work mainly based on the Zen word "A-Un". Last October, during a public production and exhibition held at Gap Gallery in Tokyo, Shinjo opened his production process to the public for several days in a half-glass-walled visualization room, experimenting with a viewer/viewer environment. Normally, Shinjo works alone in his studio, but through physical engagement with others and society, he explores the changing place of consciousness. The word "A-Un" is often used to refer to the joining of breaths, but in Zen, it refers to the origin and return of things (the beginning and end of all things).
