The first solo exhibition in Japan by the Daido brothers will be held at Purple. The Daido Brothers are twin photographers, Yuki and Yasuteru Daido, who run the publishing label "Sakura-no-Hana Honpo" and have published many collections of their work. They have repeatedly taken individual photographs and collaborated to mix, scoop up, weave, and join these images together to create a single form.
In this exhibition, "Time Upon a Time," they present a selection of images they have accumulated over the past 10 years since their first encounter with a camera, and a collection of handmade photographs, almost all of which are originals.
