David McKee
The story of the patchwork elephant,` the jolly, mischievous Elmer is a classic work by British picture book author David McKee, first published in 1968. It has been translated into more than 60 languages and is loved around the world. David's message of accepting oneself, sharing joy with others, and that every day is a "special day” continues to inspire.

This exhibition features approximately 170 illustrations from the "Elmer" series of picture books, including some that have not yet been published in Japan. The exhibition also introduces "Sekai no ichiban tsuyoi kuni" (The Best Country in the World), which became a hot topic due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
