Ukiyo-e depicts people's daily lives and provides an insight into the scenery and fashion of Japan at that time. This exhibition features Ukiyo-e depicting Japanese tile roofs from the Edo period to the Meiji period, including kabuki plays performed on roofs and changing townscapes, all depicted by Ukiyo-e artists.

The exhibition features Ukiyoe depicting famous places throughout Japan and famous scenes from the Kabuki play "Nanso Satomi Hakkenden." Also featured are "Moroshoku Gakkan" by Keisai Huwagata, the bestseller of the Edo period, and "Hokusai Manga" by Hokusai Katsushika.
