Since the 1990s, amidst the waves of globalization and economic development, Asian artists have emerged one after another to become internationally active, and contemporary Asian art has become one of the world's most popular trends.

This exhibition is the first attempt to introduce work by 45 artists from East and Southeast Asia that reflects the state of contemporary Asia by combining work from the museum's collection with those of Daisuke Miyatsu, who has been collecting contemporary art in Japan and abroad since the 1990s and is now known as one of the top collectors in Japan. The exhibition consists of four chapters: “1. Life”, “2. Body”, “3. Identity”, and “4. History". During the exhibition period, satellite exhibitions will also be held at various locations in Fukuoka City, where visitors can casually encounter contemporary Asian art.
