Paintings are the main focus of this exhibition. The motifs that have appeared in Eri Yoshihara's previous prints appear repeatedly in the paintings. The motifs are familiar objects in the room such as chairs, books, plants, and hats and scarves worn by people.
"Curtains," the motif of this series, is a symbolic motif. It exists as a soft dividing line between the world beyond and the world in front of it, and it has a fluctuating existence that functions while expanding as a surface or closing at times. The existence that Yoshihara does not depict may be hidden behind this surface. This exhibition will feature seven new paintings from the “Curtain" series, as well as Yoshihara's latest prints.
